And today, I bring you the Hall-Doughtery Wedding.

I have known Meghan since I was a little girl, we are talking Barbie Dolls and Operation kind of little girls. Through school we ran in different circles and lost touch, I have always been a bit sad about that.  I was so excited when she contacted me and asked me to shoot her wedding.  It seemed like life was bringing us full circle, and that was amazing.  We met for dinner with one of her men, Chase.  What a CUTIE!  Now don’t go getting all weirded out, Chase is her son, Marc was her fiance.  Not that Marc isn’t a cutie too, I’m just not sure it’s appropriate for me to say a client’s fiance is a cutie.  At any rate, the ceremony was BEAUTIFUL!  Very touching, as a wedding should  be.  It wasn’t about the perfect flowers, the most expensive dress or the cutest favors.  It was about Marc and Meghan and their love and commitment to once another, you could feel it in the emotionally charged air around you.  Now Meghan and I keep in touch, we don’t play barbies or share secrets anymore, but I’m just happy to be able to say hello and check in on her life from time to time.

I think I will start with images from the Fall Posing for a Cure…

Yes I know its been a few (long) months but here I am trying to catch back up on my blogging.  I am proud to say that this was my biggest Christmas Rush EVER!  That must mean Im doing something right, right?  I sure hope so!  I am about to start a new job, one which will hopefully allow me more time to focus on photography.  Things have slowed down a bit for now but Im sure they will pick back up come Spring.  Im really looking forward to that and Im excited to see how busy things get.

Now on to the images.  Posing for a Cure was a big success, raising $435 for Huntington’s Disease Society of America!

October Posing for a Cure

It’s Fall and I know you are looking to get Pictures for Christmas so why not support a good cause while you do it?  April’s Posing for a Cure was very successful so I thought I would do another one and may continue to do them annually.  This time the money will go to The Huntington’s Disease Society of America.  Huntington’s Disease is a devastating, hereditary, degenerative brain disorder for which there is, at present, no cure and only one FDA-approved treatment (Xenazine) for a symptom of HD.  HD slowly diminishes the affected individual’s ability to walk, talk and reason. Eventually, the person with HD becomes totally dependent upon others for his or her care. Huntington’s Disease profoundly affects the lives of entire families — emotionally, socially and economically.  If you would like more information please go to www.hdsa.org.

Sessions will be held at Brown’s Branch Park in Harrington on Sunday October 31st (No worries I have already checked and trick or treating will be on Saturday, in the City of Milford anyway and I assume other towns will have it then as well) with a rain date of Sunday November 14th.  Each session will cost $35 and last approximately 30 minutes.  Participants will have a password protected online proof gallery, a free 8×10 and 10% off additional print purchases.  Because of time constrains, I must limit each group to 6 people.

So, call me (752-6791), email me, Rhiannon@Bellamorphoto.com or message me on Facebook to book your session!  Hurry spots are limited and will go quickly!

And because I have been told its not a Photographers blog post without a picture, here is a shot from the HDSA Team Hope Walk last weekend.

He’s gonna be famous one day

I spoke to Mom and Dad on the phone, they had questions of pricing, how did it work, how soon could I get there, and seemed like sweet people. After a bit of confusion about their address , I arrived 30 minutes late and incredibly flustered. I HATE to be late. As soon as I walked in I felt comfortable and welcome. I knew these were my kinda people. A trip to Nathan’s “Rock Star” themed nursery confirmed this fact. I almost jumped for joy and squealed with delight.

Miss Bayley

This little one knows when my camera comes out.  I swear she does because in the instant it takes to get it to my face she begins screaming.  But I love her, she’s my niece.  My very first niece, and that’s exciting.  We have had a few sessions without much luck, but her most recent one was awesome.  Mostly because she fell asleep and didn’t really have the opportunity to let me know exactly what she thought of my camera.  Once she woke up from her nap, we had a few minutes of contentment before she again voiced her dislike of photo sessions.  You can check out Mama’s Maternity Session if you wanna!

She spent a few days in the NICU because of an infection so her first pics were a little more difficult than normal.

When she got home, it was time for Gabrielle and Morgan to meet Baby Bayley and try out her first photo shoot

Meet Brooke

Shes a Delaware kinda girl, loves the beach and a good farm too. I think it’s a nice mix, maybe because I’m that kinda gal too. She opted for two sessions to be able to get the best of both worlds and show off her style.

I think this is my fav from both sessions

The McGriffin Family

I realized that I didn’t blog the Maternity session for Rob and Michelle.  I admit it, I’m a slacker on the blog.  So, I thought I would bring you up to speed on where we are now with Rob, Michelle and baby Zachary.  I have known Rob for a while and have always loved how welcoming he is.  He’s one of those people you feel like you have know forever because he makes you comfortable like that.  He and Michelle have been married for a few years but because they were living in New Jersey, I had never met her.  Her first shoot, that was our first meeting, and I loved her from the second she stepped out of her car.  She came right over gave me a big hug and said “I feel like we’re old friends I’ve heard so much about you!”.  There isn’t a whole lot of sweetness like that in this world and I enjoy sweetness.  Rob was unable to make the first session, so we held another a few days later and I told him it’s a good thing I like him.  It was nice to see the two of them together and see how well they compliment one another.  Mr. Zach was born on April 16th and is now four months old!

Good things come to those who mate

Seriously, is that not the funniest thing you have ever heard?  EVER?!?  I think so.  This is a special shoot to me because in that belly is my very first niece.  I was sooooo excited and could not wait for little Miss Bayley to make her appearance.  Now, my Sister in Law refuses to take many things seriously, especially herself.  This lovely characteristic made it very difficult to do her maternity portraits.  But we did it, after tons of “COME ON!  STOP sticking your tongue out!” and “Will you PLEASE act right?!?”.  It’s a good thing I love her!

Kristin

Some of you may remember Kristin, as she has graced this blog in the past.  When I saw pictures of her prom dress, I knew we had to have another shoot because, seriously, its AMAZING!  She will be a Senior this year and Im sure we will have more shoots through out the year so I’ll bet you’ll be seeing her again.
